As a counsellor registered with the Australian Counselling Association, I take a holistic, compassionate approach to counselling.
I primarily support elderly adults and neurodivergent individuals, including those with autism, ADHD, and other cognitive differences, by providing tailored strategies that foster self-regulation, emotional well-being, and personal growth in a supportive and understanding environment.Â
I work with plan-managed and self-managed NDIS (National Disability Insurance Scheme) participants whilst ensuring alignment with their specific plans and goals. Counselling offers significant benefits to NDIS participants by providing emotional support, helping with goal setting, improving communication skills, and developing coping strategies and awareness of behavioural patterns. It can aid in improving self-advocacy and social skills, bring about an understanding of individual strengths, and build resilience and capacity. In supporting their overall wellbeing, counselling can assist NDIS participants in becoming more independent and autonomous.
